Hello and Welcome to the home of the Official GA / FL Massage Championship Page.
We are an Open Massage Championship, meaning any INSURED massage therapist, bodyworker or esthetician (facial category only) from around the world can enter our Massage Championship. Only GA and FL LMT’s are eligible for the OVERALL State Awards. GA LMT’s compete only with other GA LMT’s. FL LMT’s compete ONLY with other FL LMT’s for the Overall State Awards.
The GA and FL Massage Championships are founded and owned by Krista Harris LMT, BCTMB. Krista has been an LMT since early 2000. She is a National and International Award Winning Therapist, most recently achieving the highest score, earning the Gold Medal in Wellness Massage, advancing to the finals, achieving the Bronze Medal Overall at the 7th Annual WMC (World Massage Championship) in Copenhagen, Denmark, June 2024. WMC is currently the largest international massage championship in the world. She is a 3x World Massage Championship Participant, Ranked 4th in the World in the IMA Wellness Category (2023), Winner of the Gold / 1st Place Medal in Western Freestyle Inspired Massage and Silver OVERALL at 1st American Massage Championship (AMC) 2022, Founder of the AMC Winner’s Circle Group, Founder of Team USA Massage and an International Massage Association Ambassador (IMA) and Massage Hall of Fame inductee. She has judged multiple State, National and International Massage Championships. She is a US Team Leader and Coach. She is deeply passionate about her industry, her own innovations and supporting other LMT’s in their growth within the profession of massage.
Mission Statement:
The Georgia / Florida Massage Championships is intended to be a fun and educational experience for licensed massage therapists with an interest or curiosity to discover, learn and share new techniques, be inspired by the work of other therapists, showcase their talents and network with likeminded professionals in a friendly atmosphere. The championship atmosphere we have chosen is a platform in which the therapist can present their very best to be seen and evaluated by specialists and highly experienced judges in the specific category.
The Georgia and Florida Massage Championships utilizes the IMA judging system and stays current with its evolution. The owner of the GA / FL Massage Championship is a recognized IMA Ambassador.
We concluded our 1st Annual GA / FL Massage Championships in Atlanta, GA (Gwinnett College) on October 14, 2023. We had the honor to award 9 Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals and 1 Honorable Mention Ribbon Award to GA, FL and CA LMT’s. The 2nd Annual GA / FL Massage Championships will be held in Orlando, FL. October 19 – 20, 2024 (see below).

Date – October 19 -20, 2024 Update – We are watching Hurricane Milton. In the event we need to reschedule we will announce by the Registration Deadline, after it has passed.

Individual Registration Fee – $200 (before 31 AUG 2024), $250 (After 31 AUG 2024), $150 (Student)

Participant Registration
Who Can Enter?
Any licensed and INSURED massage therapist, bodyworker, esthetician (facial category only) can enter. Only GA and FL State licensed LMTs can win the overall State medals. Out of State LMTs can win categories. Participants will also receive a massage. A strong esthetic presentation is highly encouraged. You may promote your style, schools, businesses, etc.
How can one compete in massage?
At the GA / FL Massage Championship the focus is on examination, ergonomics and overall flow of performance in each category.
- Ergonomics: How does the therapist use their own bodies and work environment.
- Techniques: Different techniques used in each category. Innovative and effective techniques for both the therapist and client.
- Flow: Means continuous non-stop movement and variation of techniques performed by the therapist.
- Innovation – Development of new moves through own unique style, style combination
- Client Contact – Professionalism, insight, compassion, pressure and depth vs client, etc
The judges will each evaluate participants in their field of expertise in close cooperation with other judges.
