With over 24 years of experience, Krista Harris is considered an expert in the field of Wellness. She is an instructor of Massage, Yoga, Aerial Yoga, Partner Acrobatics, Aquatic Bodywork and Therapeutic Sound Meditation. She holds two State massage licenses in Georgia and Florida.
At the American Massage Championships (AMC) 2022 she was awarded the Gold Medal in her division of Freestyle, Western inspired massage and Silver overall US Champion. Immediately following AMC 2022 she found the AMC Winner’s Circle in which she continues to host monthly meeting. This led her to creating what has become known as Team USA Massage which formed as a means to cultivate camaraderie and support for professional LMT’s who chose to represent the US and International Massage Championships.
2022 she was nominated and inducted into the Massage Hall of Fame July 2024. July 2023 she received the Pioneer Award by the World Massage Festival as the Founding Director of the Georgia & Florida State Massage Championships. August 2023 she was awarded IMA (International Massage Association) Ambassador for her hard work and dedication in the industry, having organized the largest US Team to date in the participation in the World Massage Championship, Copenhagen, Denmark.
She is Board Certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork and a member of the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals. She was the first practitioner of “Ashiatsu Deep Feet Bar Therapy” in Atlanta and the first “Master Trainer” of Lypossage (all natural body contouring) in Georgia.
With a background in the Health and Fitness Industry, Krista graduated from the Academy of Somatic Healing Arts in Atlanta in 2000 and since then has continued her extensive training in multiple areas of Wellness. Krista is a lecturer in her field, leads workshops and teaches anatomy for yoga instructor trainees. Krista’s clientele include yoga studios, professional athletes, entertainers, musicians around the U.S and her local community.
November 2017 she completed a 270 Hour Certification in Therapeutic Sound through the International Sound Therapy Association, taught by Wendy Young (Princeton University) and Stephanie Rooker (Voice Journey Sound Center NY).
She has a background in competitive Fitness, Triathlons, Adventure Racing, Orienteering, Yoga and Aerial Acrobatic Performance of Aerial Silks and Acrobatic Yoga. In addition, she is a 3 time Georgia State Yoga Asana Champion, having represented the State of Georgia in 3 US Yoga Asana Championships. She is also trained as a qualified Coach and Judge under the official guidelines of the USA Yoga Federation.
Krista has developed a therapeutic system that synthesize the best elements of many of her areas of expertise she has been providing her clients over many years. She is currently in the process of expanding this system.
